Spicy Raisin Bars
Spicy Raisin Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. raisins, 1 c. water, 1/2 c. salad oil or shortening, 1 slightly beaten egg and 1 3/4 c. sifted flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Heat water and raisins on the stove.
Let cool slightly, then add salad oil or shortening, egg and sugar.
Sift together flour and other dry ingredients and add to the mixture.
Add nuts if desired.
Grease and lightly flour bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking pan and bake in a 375Β° oven for 20 minutes.
When cool, dust with powdered sugar and cut into bars.
