Spiced Prune Cake
Spiced Prune Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening, 1 c. sugar, 2 eggs, well beaten, 1 1/4 c. finely chopped cooked prunes and 2 c. sifted flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Cream shortening and add sugar.
Cream until fluffy.
Add eggs and beat well.
Blend in prunes.
Sift together flour, soda, spices and salt.
Add to creamed mixture in 3 portions, alternately with sour milk in 2 portions.
Turn into greased shallow pan about 13 x 9-inch. Bake at 350Β° for 35 to 40 minutes.
