Spiced Iced Tea
Spiced Iced Tea is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour. Made with qt. water, orange pekoe tea bags, a cheesecloth bag containing 1/2 (4-inch) cinnamon sticks, 6 cloves and 3 allspice berries, c. pineapple juice and c. sugar or to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
In a saucepan, bring the water to boil; add the tea bags and remove the pan from the heat.
Let the tea steep for 20 minutes. Discard the tea bags and the cheesecloth bag.
In a pitcher, combine the tea with the pineapple juice and the sugar and stir the tea until the sugar is dissolved.
Chill the tea, covered, until it is cold.
Stir the tea before serving and garnish with sticks of core or wedges.
Makes about 10 cups.
