Spiced Date Cake
Spiced Date Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. boiling water, 1 c. cut up dates, 1 tsp. soda, 1 c. sugar and 1/2 c. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Pour the boiling water over the dates and soda.
Let stand. Mix together the sugar, butter, eggs, cinnamon, allspice, cloves and salt.
Add together.
Beat in the flour and walnut meats. Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 35 minutes, or until done to the touch. Put in a 9 x 13-inch greased pan.
