Spice Cake
Spice Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 3 c. applesauce, 1/2 c. soft shortening, 2 c. sugar, 1 egg and 2 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream sugar and shortening together; beat egg in.
Stir in applesauce.
Sift together flour, soda, cinnamon, cloves and allspice.
Stir into flour mixture, alternating with water.
Stir in pecans and raisins.
Pour batter into a greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 45 to 50 minutes.
