Spaghetti Pie
Spaghetti Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 to 10 oz. spaghetti or linguine, cooked and well drained, 1/3 c. melted margarine, 1/3 c. grated cheese (romano or your preference), 1 beaten egg (egg beaters can be used) and 1 c. small curd cottage cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Mix cooked spaghetti with melted margarine, grated cheese and beaten egg.
In a buttered pie plate, form a crust using spaghetti mixture.
Top with cottage cheese.
Cover with spaghetti sauce, not too much, almost like a frosting.
Bake 1/2 hour at 350Β°. Before the last 5 minutes, put the cheese on top, baking until it is melted and slightly brown.
Let set an additional 5 minutes before cutting into wedges.
Serve with additional spaghetti sauce on the side.
