Southfork "Chili"
Southfork "Chili" is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 1/2 to 3 lb. ground beef, 2 c. chopped onion, 1 green pepper, chopped, 3 cloves garlic, pressed, or 3 shakes of garlic powder and 1 to 2 tbsp. crushed red pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Brown ground beef and pour off fat.
Add onion, green pepper, garlic, red pepper, chili powder, cumin, oregano and salt.
Mix well.
Cook until onion and green pepper become tender.
Add beans, tomatoes, corn and tomato sauce.
Stir to mix well, breaking up tomatoes with a fork.
Simmer slowly, stirring occasionally, until thickened and blended (about 45 minutes).
