In a medium sized bowl mix cornmeal, flour, egg, sugar, salt, pepper, corn and onion.
Add enough milk to make a pancake-like batter.
Pour mixture into a greased baking pan and bake at 350Β° for 35 to 40 minutes or until top starts to brown slightly.
Remove from oven and slice into squares.
Serve hot with butter.
