Sourdough Starter
Sourdough Starter is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 tbsp. dry yeast, 1/2 c. warm water, 2 tsp. sugar, 2 c. warm water and 2 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

In a large bowl (not aluminum), dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup water. Add sugar.
Water, flour and salt with beater, mixer or whisk to make smooth batter.
Cover with damp cloth and put in warm place days or until foamy and light.
Stir several times a day.
Starter now ready or may now be stored in refrigerator in glass jar with lid.
Feed regularly.
A wide mouth jar works well and I feed every time I use some, which is approximately 2 times a week.
