Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well. Add flour, soda and sour cream, alternately.
Add vanilla. Bake in tube pan which has been greased and floured for 1 1/2 hours at 300Β°.
Start checking baking time at 1 1/4 hours.
