Sour Cream Cookies
Sour Cream Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening, 1 c. sugar, 1 beaten egg, 2 c. flour and 1/2 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add egg and continue creaming until light.
Sift flour, baking soda, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt together and add alternately with cream to creamed mixture.
Stir in raisins or nuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheets.
Bake in moderately hot oven (375Β°) for 10 to 12 minutes. Yields 36 cookies.
