Sour Cream Coconut Cake
Sour Cream Coconut Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. butter cake mix, 2 1/2 pt. sour cream, 2 pkg. frozen coconut, 1 c. pecans and 1 small jar cherries, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Bake cake according to package directions (two 9-inch layers). Mix sugar, vanilla and sour cream and let stand in refrigerator while cake is baking.
Cool cake; slice layers in half.
Pour sour cream mixture, coconut, nuts and cherries alternately on each layer.
Store in refrigerator.
Cake is best made a day before serving.
