Soft Pretzels
Soft Pretzels is an easy dinner. Made with 1 cake yeast dissolved in 1 1/2 c. warm water, 1 tsp. salt, 1 tbsp. sugar and 4 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Add 1 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon sugar; blend in flour.
Knead dough until smooth.
Cut into small pieces.
Roll into ropes and twist into desired shape. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Brush pretzel with beaten egg.
Sprinkle with coarse salt.
Bake immediately at 425Β° for 12 to 15 minutes.
(For hard pretzels, use only 1 1/4 cup water and add 1/4 cup melted butter.
Shape smaller and bake until brown.)
