Soft Pretzels
Soft Pretzels is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 cake yeast or 1 dry yeast, 1 1/2 c. warm water, 1 tsp. salt, 1 tbsp. sugar and 4 c. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Add the salt and sugar.
Blend in the flour and knead dough until smooth.
As soon as the dough is kneaded, cut into small pieces and roll the pieces into ropes. Twist the ropes into pretzel shapes and place on paper lined cookie sheets.
Brush pretzels with the beaten egg and sprinkle generously with coarse salt.
Bake immediately in a 425Β° oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until browned.
