Soft Buttermilk Cookies
Soft Buttermilk Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 4 eggs, 1 1/2 c. shortening, 1 c. buttermilk and 2 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, beat well.
Mix soda in milk and add alternately with flour, which has been sifted with baking powder and salt.
Beat well and add vanilla.
Drop 1 teaspoon of dough at a time in a bowl of flour. Shake off excess flour and place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375Β° for 8 minutes.
Makes 6 dozen cookies.
