Snickerdoodles
Snickerdoodles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. soft shortening, 3/4 c. sugar, 1 egg, 1 1/3 c. unsifted flour and 1 tsp. cream of tartar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Mix thoroughly shortening, sugar (3/4 cup) and egg.
Sift together and stir in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt.
Roll into balls the size of small walnuts.
Roll balled cookies in mixture of 1 tablespoon sugar and cinnamon.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake until lightly browned but still soft.
Bake at 400Β° for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes about 2 1/2 dozen 2-inch cookies.
