Make cake according to directions
Put 1/2 the batter in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan
Bake for 25 minutes or until "just" done
Meanwhile, melt milk, caramels and oleo
Remove cake from oven and cool a little
Pour melted caramel mixture over cake
Top with chips and nuts
Dot remaining 1/2 of batter on top
Return to oven for 20 minutes at 350Β°.
