Slaw
Slaw is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 large head cabbage, shredded, 1 tbsp. salt, 2 c. sugar, 1 c. white vinegar and 1/2 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Let cabbage and salt stand 45 minutes to 2 hours.
Squeeze out all the water.
Boil sugar, white vinegar and water.
Add celery, green pepper, celery seed and dry mustard or mustard seed to cabbage.
Pour hot vinegar over slaw while hot.
Keeps about a month or may be frozen.
