Cream butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy (about 5 minutes on mixer so it won't be "grainy").
Melt chocolate over boiling water in double boiler.
Blend chocolate into butter-sugar mixture.
Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla and blend.
Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating 2 minutes after each addition.
Turn into baked pie shell and chill several hours.
Top with whipped cream and serve.
