Shrimp Creole
Shrimp Creole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. chopped onions, 1/2 c. chopped celery, 1 clove garlic, minced, 3 tbsp. salad oil and 12 oz. raw shrimp, cleaned and deveined, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
In hot oil, cook onions, celery and garlic until tender, but not brown.
Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, sugar, chili powder and Worcestershire sauce.
Simmer for 45 minutes; thicken with cornstarch.
Add shrimp and green pepper.
Cover and simmer until done, about 5 minutes.
Serve with rice.
