Shrimp Creole
Shrimp Creole is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/2 c. chopped onion, 1/2 c. chopped celery, 1 clove minced garlic, 3 tbsp. salad oil and 1 lb. can tomatoes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cook onion, celery and garlic in oil until tender, but not brown.
Add tomatoes and next 6 ingredients.
Simmer, uncovered, for 45 minutes.
Mix cornstarch with 1 tablespoon cold water and stir into the sauce.
Cook and stir until mixture bubbles.
Add shrimp and green pepper.
Cover and simmer until done, about 5 minutes.
Serve over cooked rice.
