Shrimp Basilico
Shrimp Basilico is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 tablespoon olive oil, 24 large shrimp, peeled & deveined, 1 tablespoon minced garlic, 1 tablespoon minced fresh basil, plus basil leaves for garnish and 1 cup chardonnay or chablis, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Heat oil in sauté pan over medium heat.
Add shrimp, then add garlic; sauté 10 seconds.
Add basil and wine; cook until almost all wine has evaporated.
Add cream; cook until liquid is reduced by half.
Add lemon juice.
Turn heat very low.
Add butter.
Cook until butter melts; do not let boil.
Add salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with basil leaves.
Serve with pasta or a good bread to soak up the sauce.
