Shortbread Cookies
Shortbread Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. butter or margarine, softened, 2 c. confectioners sugar, 2 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 tsp. salt and 4 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
In bowl cream sugar and butter.
Beat in vanilla and salt. Gradually stir by hand the flour until well blended.
Stir in walnuts.
Dough will be stiff.
Shape in 1-inch balls.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten with a fork to 1 1/2-inch round.
Bake for 15 minutes or until light golden in a 350Β° oven.
While cookies are still warm, sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
