Shipwreck Stew
Shipwreck Stew is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 medium white potatoes, sliced thin, 1 medium onion, sliced thin, 1 can kidney beans, drain off juice, 1 lb. ground beef, browned and grease drained off and 1 large can tomato sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Layer potatoes, onion, meat, beans, salt and pepper in casserole dish, until nearly full.
Pour tomato sauce over all. Cover and bake 1 hour in slow oven (250° to 300°).
Uncover and bake 1/2 hour longer.
Serve piping hot as one dish meal with a salad.
