Sherry's Old Fashioned Pound Cake
Sherry'S Old Fashioned Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. butter or margarine, 1/3 c. crisco, 3 c. sugar, 5 eggs (add 1 at a time) and 3 c. flour (cake or all-purpose), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Cream together the butter or margarine, Crisco, sugar and eggs (add eggs 1 at a time).
Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder.
Add flour mixture to creamed mixture, alternately with milk and vanilla, beginning and ending with flour.
Mix well with hand mixer.
Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 325Β° for 1 1/2 hours.
Cool in pan.
