Shanghai Beef is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. round steak, cut in thin strips, 2 tbsp. oil, 2 tbsp. cornstarch, 1 1/2 c. beef broth (equal to 1 can campbell's beef broth) and 1 can sliced water chestnuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Until browned.
Add cornstarch and stir until blended.
In broth, chestnuts, pepper, scallions, soy sauce and black pepper.
Bring to full boil, stirring frequently.
Stir in rice.
