Shahi Pilaf
Shahi Pilaf is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 24 minutes. Made with c. basmati rice, butter or clarified butter, cinnamon stick, crushed, bay leaves and pods cardamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Wash the rice and set aside to drain.
Heat the butter in a nonstick pan.
Add cinnamon stick, cardamon pods, bay leaves and cloves and stir for 1 1/2 minutes.
Add salt and water (8 cups) to rice, then bring to boil, stirring it a couple of times.
Reduce heat to low.
Add raisins, almonds and pistachios.
Cook, covered, for 10 minutes.
Serve piping hot.
