Seven Minute Frosting
Seven Minute Frosting is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. granulated sugar, 1/3 c. water, 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar, dash of salt and 2 unbeaten egg whites, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Combine sugar, water, cream of tartar and salt in saucepan. Bring to boil; stir until sugar dissolves.
Very slowly add to unbeaten egg whites in bowl, beating constantly with mixer until stiff peaks form.
Beat in vanilla.
This will frost 2 (8 or 9-inch) layers or 1 (10-inch) tube cake.
