Self Frosted (And Yummy) is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter, 2/3 c. brown sugar, 2 tsp. karo syrup, pecans and white, yellow, spice or chocolate cake mix, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Mix first three ingredients into saucepan and bring to a boil. Immediately pour into 9 x 13-inch pan.
Place pecans approximately where you would estimate the cake pieces will be cut.
I just chop up the nuts and sprinkle over mixture.
Pour prepared cake mix over the first mixture.
Bake at 350Β° for 35 minutes or test with toothpick for doneness.
Cut around outside edge and tip pan upside down on large cake plate.
Cake is frosted.
