Scotcheroo Bars
Scotcheroo Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1 c. light corn syrup, 1 c. peanut butter, 6 c. rice krispies and 1 c. chocolate chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Combine sugar and syrup in a 3-quart saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until mixture just comes to a boil.
Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter and mix well.
Add cereal and mix well.
Press mixture into a buttered 9 x 13-inch pan.
Melt chips together over hot, but not boiling, water.
Stir until well blended.
Remove from heat and spread over bars.
Cool and cut into bars.
