Scotch Shortbread
Scotch Shortbread is an easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, 1/2 c. sugar, 2 sticks butter (8 oz.) and 1 medium egg yolk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Mix together 2 1/4 cups flour with sugar; cut in butter as for pastry.
Bind together with egg yolk.
Knead lightly using other 1/4 cup flour as needed.
Divide into 4 portions.
Roll each one out to a 1/2-inch circle.
Score edges and prick center with fork. Mark into wedges with knife going down 1/8-inch.
Bake at 350Β° for approximately 30 minutes; let cool 5 minutes before removing from cookie sheet.
