Scotch Shortbread is an easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter, 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 2 1/2 c. sifted flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Mix butter and sugar thoroughly.
Stir in vanilla, then flour and mix with hand.
Roll out into 1/4 to 1/3-inch thick and cut into fancy shapes with cookie cutter or roll into 1-inch balls and flatten on ungreased cookie sheet.
Decorate with baking candy. Bake at 300Β° for 20 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
Shape of cookie does not change during baking.
