Scotch Shortbread
Scotch Shortbread is an easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. butter, 4 c. flour and 1 c. confectioners sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Leave butter out all night in a covered bowl.
When it is nice and creamy, add sugar.
Beat a few minutes, then add 1 cup flour at a time.
It gets lumpy, so put it on a cookie sheet and pat it smooth with your hands.
Then cut in squares and bake in a slow oven until golden brown.
Remove from oven and with knife, go over the lines again.
(I use a cookie sheet with sides.)
