Sawmill Gravy
Sawmill Gravy is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. hot bulk sausage, 3 tbsp. all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 c. milk, 1/8 tsp. salt and 1/8 tsp. pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cook sausage until brown in a large skillet over medium flame. Drain and reserve 2 tablespoons drippings in skillet.
Blend in flour; brown, stirring constantly.
Add milk.
Bring to a boil; reduce temperature.
Add sausage, salt and pepper; simmer 2 minutes.
Serve over hot, open-faced biscuits.
