Made with 1 (10-inch) pie shell, partially baked and cooled, 1 lb. sausage meat (used jimmy dean's sage flavor), 1/3 c. chopped onion, 1 tbsp. butter and 3/4 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Preheat oven to 375Β°.

In a heavy frying pan, crumble sausage meat with a fork.

Saute thoroughly.

Drain fat from pan; remove sausage meat and set aside.

In another frying pan, saute onion in butter until tender.

Add milk and heat until steam rises, but do not boil.

Cut cream cheese into small pieces; add to hot milk and onion mixture and let soften off the stove.

Beat eggs, then add shredded Cheddar cheese, milk mixture and seasonings.

Beat to mix thoroughly and pour into pie shell.

Top with cooked sausage. Bake 30 minutes or until set.
