Sausage Cheese Grits Casserole
Sausage Cheese Grits Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. salted water, 1 c. quick cooking grits, 2 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese, 1/4 c. milk and 2 to 3 tbsp. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Bring salted water to boil.
Slowly add quick cooking grits (not instant).
Return to boil, cover, reduce heat and cook 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and add cheese; stir until melted. Add milk, butter, Worcestershire sauce and garlic salt.
Mix well.
Beat egg in small bowl.
Add 1 tablespoon grits mixture until blended and add back to grits.
Spoon half of grits into an 8-inch square baking dish, top with one pound of cooked and drained sausage and cover with remaining grits.
Cover and chill 8 hours.
