Sausage Cheese Grits Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. water, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 c. jim dandy quick grits, 1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) grated sharp cheddar cheese, divided and 1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Grease a 3-quart baking dish. Bring water and salt to a boil in a large saucepan.
Slowly pour in grits.
Cover, reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat. Stir in 1 cup cheese and butter until melted.
Add eggs, milk and sausage; blend well.
Pour mixture into prepared dish.
Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Bake 1 hour or until cheese is golden brown. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
