Sausage and Peppers "Sauce"
Sausage And Peppers "Sauce" is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 12 oz. can italian crushed tomatoes, 16 oz. del monte tomato sauce, 1 small onion, 6 green peppers and 1 or 2 lb. italian sweet sausage, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Place crushed tomatoes and Del Monte sauce in a pot and simmer. Dice onion and add to pot.
Clean and fry peppers.
After frying, place in pot.
After browning sausage well, then add to pot.
Mix chopped meat, 1 egg and bread crumbs together.
Roll into meatballs; brown well and add to pot.
Cover the pot and cook on low heat for about 3 hours.
When finished cooking, place on your favorite pasta or eat alone.
