Sandies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter, 1/3 c. sugar, 2 tsp. vanilla, 2 tsp. water and 2 c. sifted flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Cream butter and sugar.
Add vanilla, water and flour and mix well.
Stir in nuts.
Shape into small balls or fingers.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in oven at 325Β° for about 20 minutes. Remove to rack.
Cool slightly.
Roll in confectioners sugar.
If desired, dip end of each finger in thin chocolate icing.
