Salmon Croquettes
Salmon Croquettes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 large can pink or red salmon, 3 tbsp. crisco, 1/3 c. flour, 1/2 c. milk and 2 tbsp. chopped onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Melt Crisco in small pan; blend in flour.
Add milk.
Cook and stir until very thick and smooth.
Remove from heat.
Pour into bowl and add onion, lemon juice and seasonings.
Stir in salmon. Shape into balls.
Roll in bread crumbs.
Combine egg with water. Dip balls in mixture.
Roll in bread crumbs.
Deep fry until browned, about 3 minutes.
Serve plain or with cream gravy with peas.
