Ruth'S Quick Caramel Frosting is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed, 1/4 c. milk and 1 3/4 to 2 c. confectioners sugar, sifted, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Melt butter in saucepan, add brown sugar and cook, stirring constantly, over low heat for 2 minutes.
Add milk and bring to a boil.
Remove from heat, cool.
Add sugar until spreading consistency is reached.
Makes enough frosting for 2 (9-inch) layers or a 13 x 9-inch sheet cake.
