Heat sugar teaspoons cold water over moderate heat; stir until dissolved, then swirl pan until golden brown caramel. Set in sink and stir in cream slowly.
Caramel will seize. Boil over moderate heat until thick.
Remove from heat and pour in vanilla, Drambuie
Scotch.
In butter; let cool 5 minutes.
Stir in chopped nuts.
Serve over your favorite ice cream.
