In bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt.
In large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add vanilla and eggs; beat.
Add dry ingredients alternately with 1 cup root beer. Mix well.
Pour batter into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Bake in preheated 375Β° oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
