Roast Goose
Roast Goose is an easy dinner. Made with 1 (10 lb.) goose, salt and pepper, 1 c. soaked and pitted prunes, 1 1/2 c. peeled, cored and slice apples and 4 c. boiling water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Season the goose inside and out with salt and pepper and stuff with apples and prunes.
Put in a large pan and brown goose on all sides in hot oven.
Add 4 cups boiling water and baste. Roast for 3 hours at 325Β°.
For crisp skin, pour 2 tablespoons water over the goose and let brown 15 minutes.
Skim fat from drippings.
Strain and thicken for gravy.
Serve with your favorite side dish (red cabbage is good), potatoes and a green salad.
