Rice and Green Chili Casserole
Rice And Green Chili Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. rice, salt and pepper, 1 can chopped green chilies, 1/2 lb. monterey jack cheese, grated and large lump butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Cook rice until just tender.
Add butter, salt and pepper. Mix chopped green chilies and sour cream in separate container. Butter casserole, and alternate layers of well seasoned rice, sour cream and chilies and cheese.
Repeat until all ingredients are used, ending with sour cream.
Dot with 2 tablespoons butter and sharp cheese (you can grate sharp cheese on top if you like). Bake in 350Β° oven about 30 minutes.
