Rhubarb Cake
Rhubarb Cake is an impressive dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 18 minutes. Made with c. rhubarb, diced, c. sugar, c. shortening, c. white sugar and egg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Mix diced rhubarb with the 1/2 cup sugar and let stand until batter is mixed.
Cream shortening and 1 1/2 cups sugar.
Add egg. Then add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk and vanilla. When cake is mixed, add rhubarb mixture to batter.
Blend.
Bake 1 hour at 350Β° or until done in 9 x 13-inch greased pan.
Serve warm with ice cream or whipped topping.
If serving cold, sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top before baking.
