Refrigerator Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. shortening, 1 c. sugar (1/2 to 3/4 ) depending on how sweet you like them, 1 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 c. boiling water and 2 eggs, beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

👨‍🍳 Instructions

Pour boiling water over shortening, sugar and salt.

Blend and cool.

Add eggs.

Let yeast stand in warm water for 5 minutes, then stir and add to mixture.

Add flour.

Blend well.

Cover and place in refrigerator for at least 4 hours.

Dough will keep for several days.

If frozen, about 3 hours before using, roll into shapes as desired, using enough flour to make them easy to handle. Place in greased pans and allow to rise in room of moderate temperature until double original size.

If not frozen, 2 hours before using.

Bake at 350° or 400° oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
