Refrigerated Slaw
Refrigerated Slaw is an moderately easy salad you can prepare in about 1 hour 28 minutes. Made with c. cabbage, shredded, large onion, chopped, c. sugar, c. vinegar and c. salad oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Alternate layers of cabbage, onion and sugar.
Combine remaining ingredients; bring to a boil.
Simmer until well blended.
Pour boiling liquid over cabbage mixture.
Cover and let set for about 3 hours.
Stir.
Let set 2 or 3 hours.
Refrigerate. Will keep for 5 or 6 weeks if refrigerated.
Yields 15 to 20 servings.
