Refried Beans
Refried Beans is an easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. pinto or pink beans, 2 small onions, 5 c. water and 1/2 c. light spread, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Place beans and onions in a pan with water.
Bring to a boil. Remove from heat; let stand 2 hours, then return to heat and bring to a boil.
Simmer for either 3 hours or until beans are tender. At this point, melt light spread.
Using a potato masher or fork, start mashing beans, adding light spread slowly and combining until desired consistency.
