Red Velvet Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. margarine, 3 eggs, 2 tsp. vanilla, 1 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Melt margarine, sugar and vanilla.
Add eggs and food coloring.
Sift flour and salt together.
Add buttermilk.
Combine soda and vinegar.
Add all to batter. Beat well with mixture. Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes.
Grease and flour three 9-inch cake pans, one long or 2 square pans.
Use any kind of frosting, but I like White Cream Cheese.
